The Knowlin Grant Scholarship Foundation was established in 2009 in memory of Mrs. Cynthia Knowlin Grant. The Knowlin Grant Scholarship Foundation provides scholarship assistance for books in specific majors.
Mrs. Cynthia Demetria Knowlin Grant, also known as "Metrie" to family, was born February 22, 1958 in Georgetown, South Carolina. She received a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Voorhees College in Denmark, SC. Mrs. Grant was very passionate about education for both students, parents and caretakers. Mrs. Grant was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Note: The scholarship will be distributed directly to the college or university to the account in the student’s name to be applied towards book expenses. All applicants and recipients must apply each semester to be considered for the scholarship.
At least one scholarship will be awarded annually for $200 - $500 to a student enrolled at an accredited University or College. Only one scholarship will be awarded to each recipents
The Knowlin Grant Scholarship gives scholarship assistance for books to High Seniors and College or University students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1.United States Citizen 2.Full Time Student 3.3.1 minimum cumulative G.P.A 4.Download from the website and fill out the complete application 5.Provide (1) copy of unofficial transcripts for college students from each institution or last institution attended. 6.High School Seniors must submit a copy of their ACT/SAT test scores and official transcript. 7.Type a 500 word essay (See application)
