The Knowlin Grant Scholarship Foundation was established 2009 in memory of Mrs. Cynthia Knowlin Grant. The Knowlin Grant Scholarship Foundation provides scholarship assistance for books in specific majors.   

Mrs. Cynthia Demetria Knowlin Grant, also known as "Metrie" to family, was born February 22, 1958 in Georgetown, South Carolina.  Mrs. Grant received her Bachelor’s in Sociology from Voorhees College in Denmark, SC. Mrs. Grant was very passionate about education for both students, parents and caretakers. Mrs. Grant was an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Scholarships
Note: The scholarship will be distributed directly to the college or university to the account in the student’s name to be applied towards book expenses.  All applicants and recipients must apply each semester to be considered for the scholarship. 

At least one scholarship will be awarded annually for $100 - $200 to a student enrolled at an accredited University or College.  Only one scholarship will be awarded to each recipents

The Cynthia Knowlin Grant Scholarship gives scholarship assistance for books to a College or University for Female sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are majoring in Sociology or Early Child Care Education.  

The Rubye Bell Knowlin Scholarship will provide assistance for books to a College or University for Male sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are majoring in Education or Mechanical Engineering.

The Earnestine Funnye Knowlin Scholarship will provide assistance for books to a College or University for Senior Citizen (55+) sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
 
The Alethia Smalls Grant Scholarship will provide assistance for books to a College or University for Female High School Seniors and College Undergraduates. 
  
The Marvin Grant Scholarship will provide assistance for books to a College or University for Male High School Seniors.

The Leroy Grant Scholarship will provide assistance for books to a College or University for Male College Undergraduates.
